LIST OF NON-JUDICIAL FORECLOSURE STATES
In the following states, lenders may proceed with a foreclosure without first initiating a lawsuit against the borrower. These are states in which Deeds of Trust are used, rather than mortgages. In these states, foreclosures typically proceed at a much faster pace than in judicial foreclosure states. For example, in Georgia, a foreclosure can be completed in as a little as two months.
